Universitetas | 2023-11-22

Kaunas University of Technology has recently begun a 36-month European Union funded Erasmus+ project named SWEPPP (Sustainable Well-being – education for personal, professional and planetary well-being), which will be running until August 2026 in co-operation with three European strategic partner institutions. The main aims of the SWEPPP project are: to increase knowledge and educational offering in the area of sustainable well-being; to create opportunities to increase sustainable well-being in different sectors of the society on the European Union level and to raise HEI students’, employees and professionals awareness of the barriers and pathways to sustainable well-being in leisure and working life using stimulating learning methods.

To meet project objectives, the following results will be created: Result 1 – Sustainable Well-being Curriculum; Result 2 – Sustainable Well-being e-learning modules and materials and Result 3 – Sustainable Well-being for Everyone Guide. SWEPPP project brings a European value by combining the sustainability aspect into personal and professional well-being, which is highly needed to preserve the sustainable development in all sectors (for the sake of planetary well-being).

In line with the EU-supported UN sustainable development goals (SDGs), education is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development, and its goals can only be realised within global partnership and co-operation, like the SWEPPP project.

The project will be coordinated by Gdańsk University of Technology and implemented in co-operation with the strategic partners of Turku University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) and Education Mobility Grid GbR (Germany).
